John Roberts Choppers to the Rig; Joe Scarborough Takes Show to Pensacola

By Chris Ariens

While CNN’s Anderson Cooper continues to try and book a BP executive on his show — there’s even a “Make BP appear on AC360” Facebook page — Cooper’s colleague John Roberts has interviewed Doug Suttles, Chief Operating Officer of BP Exploration and Production. Today, Roberts and Suttles took a chopper tour and headed to the oil rig for an inside look at BP’s efforts to stop the leak.

The interview will air tomorrow beginning at 6amET on “American Morning.”

Meanwhile, on Friday morning Joe Scarborough returns to his old stomping ground to host his morning show. In advance of President Obama’s visit on Monday, “Morning Joe” will broadcast from Pensacola.

Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski will talk with government officials and residents to showcase how the oil spill is affecting business and daily life in the region which Scarborough once represented in the U.S. Congress. The show will originate from the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier and Observation Post.
