Jenna Wolfe Gets ‘Today’ Family Baby Sendoff

By Chris Ariens

Weekend “Today” show’s Jenna Wolfe is now on maternity leave, awaiting the birth of her first child. Wolfe and her partner NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk announced they were expecting in March. On this morning’s show, Wolfe got a sendoff from her “Today” family  and also Barry Manilow. Said Matt Lauer, “In 17 or 18 years we get an intern. Which is fantastic. Free labor.”

On Saturday, co-anchor Lester Holt was on the show — even though he had the day off. Holt, who is subbing for Brian Williams on “Nightly News” during the week as Williams recovers from knee surgery, rode up to the show on his bike. Watch that clip, after the jump. As for Williams, he wrote about his recovery on the Daily Nightly blog.
