“It’s Called Ratings, Chris”

Just as he did following his Fox & Friends dust-up the week before, Chris Wallace called in to Brian & the Judge on Fox News Radio to continue the conversation from earlier in the morning with co-hosts Brian Kilmeade and Andrew Napolitano. What resulted was a light, but very candid, conversation (Johnny Dollar has the audio).

First, Napolitano talked about the reaction he and Kilmeade received following their praise for the Barack Obama race speech. “Both Brian and I loved Barack Obama’s speech and we spent a week praising it and we got a lot of heat from a lot of people that listen to this show and that we work with in this building,” he said.

Wallace questioned Kilmeade as to why, after promoting the impending showdown “all morning,” the F&F anchors took it easy on him. “To be totally candid I think a lot of people feel we should have it go away, that people were very uncomfortable with us on the same team fighting each other,” said Kilmeade.

Napolitano had a different theory why the segment didn’t deliver on the tease: “It’s called ratings, Chris.”
