“I Can be Fair and Balanced on Every Topic in the World, I Think, Except the Redskins”

The Washington Post’s D.C. Sports Bog profiles FNC correspondent and Washington Redskins fanatic Molly Henneberg.

Henneberg, who is, “something of a nut for the Redskins,” writes editor Dan Steinberg, says, “I can be fair and balanced on every topic in the world, I think, except the Redskins.”

Henneberg describes an upcoming conflict for her — Sen. John McCain’s speech at the RNC Convention happens the same time the Redskins’ season begins against the New York Giants. “I’ve got to be able to see it. This is going to be difficult, Dan. This has been the subject of much discussion,” she jokes.

She also discusses the D.C. bureau “posse” of Redskins fans. “We’ve got a Redskins e-mail group whenever there’s news,” says Henneberg. “Brit Hume is a huge Redskins fan and so is Chris Wallace, and whenever we’re in the hallway we have to discuss the latest news, or the games.”
