Fox News has now been the most-watched basic cable network since July of 2016, just as Donald Trump made his final push toward the White House.
Another byproduct of President Trump’s election is the ratings surge of MSNBC, which finished as the second-most watched basic cable network in Q1, in both total day and prime time, and covers Trump in a decidedly different way than Fox News.
Here’s a look at the top cable networks for the just-completed Q1 of 2018, which shows CNN in 7th place in total day and 11th place in prime time.
