Chicago White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson was in rare form this weekend during a series with the Toronto Blue Jays.
It started Saturday when Corey Patterson hit a walk-off home run in the 14th inning and Harrelson asked for the ball to “get down” as it sailed over the right field fence.
But that was mild compared to Sunday when the colorful play-by-play announcer hinted that Jose Bautista might be corking.
“If you didn’t know better, you’d say [his bat] had a little cork in it,” Harrelson said.
Everyone (and by everyone, I mean bloggers) has hinted that there must be something going on with Bautista.
But you wouldn’t expect those allegations from someone in the broadcast booth.
Don’t ever change, Hawk.[H/T Larry Brown Sports]
