Green on the Floor for Dow 10,000 2.0

By Chris Ariens

We don’t think it’s coincidence that Trish Regan of CNBC and Nicole Petallides of Fox Business Network wore green on the day the Dow Jones industrial average hit the 10,000 mark, before dipping back below the level.

Regan kept a close on the numbers during the 11amET hour of “The Call” this morning, even holding up hats given out by the NYSE that are branded “Dow 10,000 2.0.” It would take another hour and 20 minutes to put the hats on when the DJIA hit 10,000 at 1:21pmET.

The last time the Dow crossed 10,000 during a trading session was Oct. 7, 2008.

> Update: The Dow ended the day closing above 10,000 — the first time that’s happened since Oct. 3, 2008. FBN’s Eric Bolling will host a DOW 10,000 special tonight at 8pmET. CNBC will air a special report at 7pmET.
