Fox Business Network has once again bought commercial time on rival network CNBC’s air. FBN bought the local commercial spots on Time Warner Cable in New York City Monday, taking a shot at how CNBC remained mostly in taped programming during the weekend of August 6-7, after S&P downgraded the U.S.A’s long-term rating.
It’s not uncommon for networks to buy ad time on competing channels on the local level.
The Daily News reports a similar campaign will hit Philadelphia today, where the dominant cable provider is Comcast, which owns a majority of NBCUniversal, the parent of CNBC.
