Although the Sunday public affairs shows continue to be in a tight race for the top spot from week to week, “Face the Nation” finished the 2013-14 season first in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic. It was the best audience in total viewers for “Face” in 21 years, since the 1992-93 season.
ABC’s “This Week” was second for the season, followed by NBC’s “Meet the Press” in third, “Fox News Sunday” in fourth and Univision’s “Al Punto” in fifth.
Compared to last season, “Face the Nation” — which is rated on only the first half hour because it is only broadcast contiguously across about half of the CBS affiliates — was up in both total viewers and the demo.
