NBC had 9.8 million viewers, ABC had 8.8 million, and CBS had 7.7 million. “This represents the NBC program’s best total viewer delivery since the week of February 13, 2006 (Torino Olympics), its best advantage over ABC since the week of August 28, 2006, and its best advantage over CBS since the week of February 13, 2006 (also Torino Olympics),” NBC notes.

But ABC points out that World News is the only evening newscast to hold its total viewing audience year-to-year: “NBC’s Nightly News and CBS’ Evening News both declined 4%.”
