ABC’s World News Tonight wins the week among total viewers, with its largest total viewer lead over NBC Nightly News in 5 months. Meanwhile, Nightly News wins the weeks among younger viewers, now No. 1 for 87 of the last 88 weeks.
But the year-to-year downward trend continues for all three newscasts, with CBS Evening News with Scott Pelly down double digits in the demo.
World News Tonight with David Muir was down the least of the three: down -2 percent in viewers and down -7 percent in the demo; Nightly News was down -9 percent in both measurements, while Evening News was down -7 percent in viewers and down -15 percent in the demo vs. the same week last year.
