“NBC Nightly News” was the most-watched evening newscast last week as the summer slump continued. NBC was the only program to grow its audience from the week prior. Both “Nightly” and “ABC World News” were down in the demo, while “CBS Evening News” was flat.
All three programs were down in both categories compared to the same week last year.
In July sweeps, ABC was flat year-to-year in total viewers while NBC and CBS were down.
