The final week of the Olympics and lead-up to the DNC saw a viewer drop-off for all three two of the three evening newscasts last week. Nightly News with Brian Williams was again the winner beating #2 World News with Charles Gibson by two million Total Viewers. The Gibson broadcast was up 5% (100,000 viewers) in the demo week-to-week.
From the week prior, World News closed the gap with Nightly News by 16% in Total Viewers and by 19% in the demo.
