Another split week for the evening newscasts: “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams wins its 257th straight week among total viewers, while ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” wins its 6th of the last 7 weeks among younger viewers.
All three newscasts were up in both measurements from last week, and from last year, as breaking news from the Midwest and the Middle East factored in to increasing viewership.
ABC and NBC were up +11% in viewers vs. the same week last year, while “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” was up +8%. In the A25-54 demographic, NBC was up +2%, ABC was up +11% and CBS was up +6%.
