Ed Litvak Becomes Permanent EP For A.M.

Ed Litvak is now officially the executive producer of American Morning, CNN president Jon Klein announced today. Litvak became interim EP back in March when Kim Bondy stepped down.

“To put it bluntly, Ed won this job,” Klein says in the release. “He took over production duties for American Morning on an interim basis several months ago and by shaping the program as the clear hard-news alternative in the morning, has led the show to steady gains in share of the morning cable news audience. American Morning is now the best morning newscast on television, and with Ed at the helm, it will only get better.”

Before taking over as interim EP, Litvak was a senior producer for AM. Before that, he was senior producer for planning on Paula Zahn Now. He came to CNN from NBC, where he was supervising producer for Weekend Today…
