Couric, Gibson, Cooper, Smith Covering Bush’s Trip To Jordan

CBS’s Katie Couric and ABC’s Charles Gibson and will anchor their respective newscasts from Amman, Jordan beginning Wednesday. They’re be covering President Bush’s summit with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and King Abdullah. This is Couric’s first foreign trip since premiering on the CBS Evening News.

Two cablers will be there as well: CNN’s Anderson Cooper was scheduled to be in Turkey all week for the Pope’s trip there, but today the network announced that he’ll move to Amman on Wednesday.

FNC’s Shep Smith will be there a day earlier; he’ll start hosting Studio B and The Fox Report from Amman on Tuesday, ICN says
