TVNewser has learned 11 staffers of Atlanta-based CNN Radio have been cut in a reorganization of the news network’s radio operations.

In a memo sent by CNN Radio’s director of audio programming Tyler Moody and obtained by TVNewser, Moody writes, “This type of change is difficult, especially when those impacted are our longtime colleagues and friends. I would like to thank each of you and acknowledge your work and contributions toward CNN Radio.”

While 11 staffers have been cut, new positions will be created, Moody writes.

Moody writes, the “restructure will provide a dynamic mix of editorial content for the consumer and will allow the organization to take advantage of new opportunities.”
