CNN Gets its Own Jeopardy! Category

By Chris Ariens

CNN got its own category on Jeopardy! today. The clues in “CNN World Languages,” were read by CNN foreign correspondents Will Ripley in Japan, Max Foster in London and Jim Bittermann in Paris.  The $1,200 clue was about CNN Chile’s Tomás MosciattiOne of the contestants guessed correctly that Mosciatti is known as the Chilean Larry King

The CNN category comes not long after it was revealed that CNN president Jeff Zucker reached out to a Sony TV executive about whether the company behind the long-running game show might consider producing a version for CNN.  That didn’t come together. As TVNewser revealed last week, CNN is going it alone and producing a game show on presidential politics airing on Presidents’ Day.
