Following their first (of five) “Your Money, Your Vote” debates among the economic advisers to Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama, CNBC laid down the gauntlet. According to a press release:
“…anchor Joe Kernen extended an open invitation to the 2008 Presidential candidates to appear on CNBC Any Day, Any Time to discuss the economy.”
Now, we’re sure similar invitations have been extended by FBN, and CNN, and probably MSNBC and maybe even MTV and BET. Perhaps RFD-TV. Maybe even Nick Jr. and Noggin. So the offer has been extended. Let’s just see if the candidates have the n*ts to accept CNBC’s invitation.

Following this morning’s first “Your Money, Your Vote Debates” on CNBC’s flagship morning program, “Squawk Box” (6AM-9AM), anchor Joe Kernen extended an open invitation to the 2008 Presidential candidates to appear on CNBC Any Day, Any Time to discuss the economy.
This morning’s debate tackled the issue of job growth and featured Jason Furman, Director of Economic Policy for the Obama campaign and Douglas Holtz-Eakin, Senior Economic Advisor to the McCain campaign alongside anchors Joe Kernen and Becky Quick and CNBC’s Chief Washington Correspondent John Harwood.
CNBC’s “Your Money, Your Vote Debates,” is an unprecedented five-week special debating the top issues in the 2008 Presidential race. Next week’s debate (Thursday, July 17th, 7AM-8AM ET) will focus on taxes and which candidate has the better plan for your money.
