Chris Jansing Back Anchoring on MSNBC Dayside

By Alex Weprin

NBC News Los Angeles correspondent Chris Jansing is returning to MSNBC as a dayside anchor, an MSNBC spokesperson has confirmed to TVNewser.

Inside Cable News noticed an on-air bug for Jansing “weekdays, 10 AM and 3PM, ET” earlier today. While Jansing is currently anchoring those hours, a final schedule is still Being worked out.

MSNBC has been changing up its dayside lineup over the last few months. Most recently anchor David Shuster was pulled off of his 10 a.m. slot “indefinitely,” after it was revealed he shot a pilot for CNN. A number of anchors have been filling in at 10 a.m. since then.

Jansing moved to LA full-time in 2008, reporting for a number of NBC News and MSNBC programs. She also served as a fill-in anchor on MSNBC.
