Fox News was the top cable news network for 2014, placing fourth both in primetime and total day viewers among all ad-supported cable networks. FNC averaged 1,756,000 primetime viewers and 1,052,000 total day viewers.

MSNBC placed 29th in primetime, with 590,000 viewers, and 28th in total day, with 347,000 viewers. CNN placed 31st in primetime and 26th in total day, averaging 516,000 and 399,000 viewers, respectively. ESPN was the number one ad-supported cable network for the year in total viewers, with USA, TNT, FNC and TBS rounding out the Top 5. When only factoring in primetime weekdays, FNC jumps to No. 2, trailing only ESPN.
