The “Today” show is taking a page out of the history books on December 30: former anchors Bryant Gumbel and Jane Pauley will join Matt Lauer as guest co-anchors for the show.
Gumbel and Pauley anchored the show together for seven years from 1982 to 1989. The pair reunited on the show — along with several other former anchors — when “Today” celebrated its 60th anniversary last year. Pauley still appears on “Today” monthly with a recurring segment about older Americans starting new careers.[Image: Today.com]
