Broadcast Nets Carry Special Reports on Obama Newser

The broadcast networks broke into daytime programming to carry remarks by President Obama on the attacks in Paris and the continued threat to the United States from ISIS. “We need to be doing everything we can to protect against more attacks and protect our people,” said Obama, who is attending the G-20 summit in Turkey.

ABC News carried a special report anchored by George Stephanopoulos, with reporting from Brian Ross, both of whom were in New York. ABC’s coverage also included David Muir from Paris, Terry Moran from Belgium, Jonathan Karl in Washington.

CBS News turned to its CBS This Morning hosts Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell, with reporting from Margaret Brennan in Turkey.

NBC News’ special report was anchored by Lester Holt in Paris, with reporting from Richard Engel.

Fox News offered Fox affiliates a special report anchored by Gregg Jarrett in New York.
