Long before Jimmy Fallon got the idea to edit together clips of Brian Williams “rapping,” another news anchor that’s on in the 6pmET hour tried his hand at “Rapper’s Delight” — live.
The Daily Caller found video from 2011 of Fox News anchor Bret Baierperforming “Rapper’s Delight” at the Bob Hope Classic, an annual charity golf tournament in California. Watch:
“I’m ready for a rap-off anytime,” Baier joked in a radio interview with WMAL. “I’ll tell you this — that editor, holy cow. That’s a lot of hours … it’s really strong. It’s very, very strong.”
Aside from his musical skills, Baier is a man of many talents: last week, he and his wife Amy were awarded the inaugural Joseph E. Robert, Jr. Prize in Philanthropy from the Children’s National Health System. Baier is a vocal advocate for children with heart disease, as his son, Paul, was born with congenital heart defects and has undergone seven angioplasties and three heart surgeries.
