Burnett also discusses her roles with NBC, where she appears on the broadcast network as well as CNBC and MSNBC. “It’s the best place for (television) journalists now,” she said.

A couple months after her profile in Oklahoma Today, she’s profiled in in Oklahoma magazine. “I love the rush of adrenaline of breaking a big story,” said Joshi. “It is the thrill of the chase and breaking news that really keeps you on your toes and teaches you all about the business.”

Joshi describes her path to FBN. “I paid my dues,” she said. “I took journalism classes at night for two years, did freelance on-air work and took side producing projects. I think that I’m proof that it is never too late to achieve your dreams, but that you have to work hard at it.”
