Awards for CBS News, Summit for All

Let us catch up with some recent awards to CBS News.

Sunday Morning won a Wilbur Award for With Full Honor, a report about Arlington National cemetery: Correspondent David Martin; Producer Mary Walsh; Editor Patrick Lee. The Wilbur Award recognizes excellence in the communication of religious values.

CBS News won three first-place awards from the NY Association of Black Journalists: The Weekend News won two, The CBS Evening News, one.

• Corridor of Shame: Correspondent Mark Strassmann; Producer Chris Hulme; Editor Paul Rose. (weekend)

• Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: Correspondent Randall Pinkston; Producer Alturo Rhymes; Editor Peter Berman. (weekend)

• Black Youth inspired by Obama: Correspondent Byron Pitts; Producers Rodney Comrie, Alberto Moya; Editor, Craig Crawford.( EN)

CBS News Radio won two Writers Guild (WGA) awards:

• For documentary, Black History Month, Writer Anthony McHugh.

• For news analysis, feature or commentary, Tributes, Writer Gail Lee.

And the Graphic Arts Department won a WGA award:

• Medical animations by Graphic Artist David Rosen for The CBS Evening News.
