Arianna Huffington thinks Roger Ailes is one of the most powerful people in media

Arianna Huffington told Forbes magazine what her idea of being powerful means today:

Power today is more about influence, about changing the game, about redirecting the conversation, about altering the way we see the world and the way we live in it. And nowhere is this shift more evident than in the media.

And so the media doyenne has given her picks for the most powerful people in media. They include Comcast’s Brian Roberts and Steve Burke; Biz Stone of Twitter and Fox News founder and chairman Roger Ailes and his boss News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch. “Love it or leave it,” Huffington told Forbes, “There is no denying the influence of Fox News.”

During a joint appearance on ABC’s “This Week” earlier this year, Huffington went after Ailes saying that FNC host Glenn Beck, uses language that is “inciting the American people.” Ailes responded by saying Huffington was acting as “the word police.”
