A few hours after she was let go by MSNBC, which she was not expecting, Greta Van Susteren sat down at her computer and began engaging with viewers who tweeted messages of goodwill (mostly).
(MSNBC aired an hour of news last night at 6 p.m. anchored by Ali Velshi. Next month Ari Melber takes over the timeslot.)
Van Susteren was with MSNBC for just six months, spent 14 years at Fox News, and the eight years before that in various roles at CNN. In a series of tweets last night and into this morning, Greta explained what happened and what’s next.
