After Orlando, Bill O’Reilly’s Late Show Visit Turns Somber, Heated

By Chris Ariens

Bill O’Reilly was booked more than a month ago for last night’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The Fox News anchor has been making the rounds to talk up his 10-part series Legends & Lies: The Patriots airing on Fox News on weekends.

Colbert and O’Reilly often spar about politics and policy, but last night it was all about the massacre in Orlando: gun control, radical ideology, and violence in the name of religion. At one point, Colbert had to scold his audience: “Listen to what he has to say, please.”

O’Reilly held up the experience in Australia which banned assault weapon after a massacre in Tasmania in April, 1996.
