ABC’s Terry Moran to Spend a Day in the Life of Pres. Obama

By Chris Ariens

NBC’s Meredith Vieira spoke with him exclusively yesterday, CBS’s Katie Couric, exclusively today. And on Thursday, ABC’s Terry Moran will join Pres. Obama on the road as he attempts to rally public support for healthcare reform.

Moran will travel with the President to Ohio for a Nightline “day in the life of the President” report. Moran will sit down for an interview with Obama after his town hall meeting in Shaker Heights.

The Day in the Life report will air on Nightline Thursday night with excerpts of the interview on “World News with Charles Gibson.”

After the jump, Couric asks Pres. Obama if he’s concerned about “a huge and devastating setback” if healthcare reform fails…

Katie Couric: Are you concerned at all that if health care reform fails it will be a huge and devastating setback to your presidency? And may put some of the rest of your agenda in peril?

President Obama: You know – I — I think that – that — the easiest way to keep your poll numbers up, and – to – garner — good press, is to do not that much here in this town, and not to cause a lot of controversy. And there’s some people who would probably advise that that’s the approach you should take. But that’s not why the American people sent me here. They sent me here to solve problems.
