According to preliminary numbers from Nielsen, the “Hope for Haiti Now” concert averaged more than 15 million viewers across the four broadcast networks last night (fast national data). The big three networks spread the viewers rather evenly: ABC averaged 4.65M Total Viewers to NBC’s 4.5M, and CBS’s 4.47M. FOX added another 1.75M.
NBC edged ABC in younger viewers with a 1.3 rating in the A18-49 demo to ABC’s 1.2 rating. CBS averaged a 1.0.
ABC’s “20/20” built on the lead-in and won the 10 o’clock hour in Total Viewers (6.36M) and across all key demos: A25-54 (2.0/6), A18-34 (1.0/4), A18-49 (1.5/4). (Again, preliminary fast national data).
“20/20” topped “Dateline” by 1.4 million Total Viewers and a repeat of CBS’ “Medium” by 2.0 million viewers. “20/20” re-aired Barbara Walters’ interview with Lady Gaga, and featured a report from investigative correspondent Brian Ross on sexual harassment involving teenagers in the workplace.
