Riding on the steady ratings success of “Black Sails” and the upcoming premiere of “Outlander,” Starz wants to make sure everyone can see their original content for themselves. Starz and Encore content will be available starting tomorrow until early April, depending on your cable provider.
Because, let’s face it, Starz sometimes gets left out. From the official release:
The Spring Free Preview will showcase the full breadth of STARZ and ENCORE premium content, including exclusive STARZ Original series “Black Sails,” “Outlander” and “Power” as well as STARZ and ENCORE hit movies such as: 22 Jump Street, Maleficent, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Sex Tape, Think Like A Man Too, Deliver Us From Evil, Million Dollar Arm, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Thor: The Dark World, Muppets Most Wanted, American Hustle, Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby, Heaven Is For Real, White House Down, Remember The Titans, Legend Of Bagger Vance, Elysium and many more.

“Black Sails” and “Outlander” are social hits, with “Black Sails” regularly ranks in the Nielsen Social Daily Top Five over the weekends. It’s a good move to give people who are too lazy to add the channel (ahem!) a chance to see what the hype is about.
For Comcast customers, it will be part of its “Watchathon Week,” which runs from April 6-12, when they’ll make all premium channels available. Of course it’s a cheap ploy to make you sign up, but its also a good chance to catch up on “Shameless.”
