NFL Fans Are Predictable on Twitter

Football season is heating up and this past week’s Patriots-Colts game topped the Nielsen Social ratings for Sports with 607,000 tweets seen by 6,292,000. Canvs tracks emotional reactions to gain further insights into how people are feeling and how to better activate the audience to engage with the programming and the advertising around it.

It’s safe to assume that with NFL games, it’s usually just fans gloating or complaining, and if you take a look at the infographic below, that’s about it. In fact, the mood breaks down pretty nicely between viewers being thrilled and feeling the “love” or being surprised and hating that trick the Colts tried to play around 11 p.m. ET on Sunday.
