Today, HBO announced that it will make HBO Now available on Android this summer. According to Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President of Products at Google, the standalone streaming service will also be coming to Google TV, in addition to Cast support for all Android, iOS, and web browsers.
Bernadette Aulestia, Executive Vice President, Domestic Network Distribution, HBO said in a statement that:
We’re looking forward to expanding our relationship with Google through HBO NOW. We have seen through social media that there is great demand for the service among Android and Chromecast users and we’re excited to deliver HBO NOW to them.
