Game of Thrones has returned, and fans were ready to gush about it. Brandwatch, a social analytics platform, monitored the social action and reports that there were 176,000 Twitter mentions from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on Sunday night alone about the show.

The largest peak belongs to Brienne of Tarth at 9:25 p.m. ET. In one minute there were around 640 mentions and they were propelled by her confrontation with Bolton’s soldiers, and pledged allegiance to Sansa Stark. The second and third character spike was for Daenerys Targaryen at 9:02 p.m. and 9:55 p.m. The first was driven by a parody account on the social network and the other by an action figure give-a-way which just goes to show you how hardcore Game of Thrones fans really are.
