Getting Social for the TVNewser Social TV Panel

By Jordan Chariton

304x200We’re putting on a big TV news and social media event in New York next week.

Social TV will be a big topic of the TVNewser Show next Tuesday. Your humble Lost Remote editor will moderate “The Rise of Social TV.”

Joining me will be a who’s who of TV news and social media: SVP for editorial & innovation at NBC News Julian March; Fox News/Fox Business’ chief digital officer Jeff Misenti; Bloomberg TV social media producer Katy Finneran; and founder and CEO of i.TV Brad Pelo.

Together, we’ll analyze TV news and entertainment outlets’ on-air social media integration; how social media is changing traditional reporters and anchors’ newsgathering; how digital and mobile platforms are changing the way networks produce content; whether second screen devices are helping or hurting traditional TV; and more.

But we can’t talk social TV without getting social ourselves, so we’re asking for your participation. Start sending in your questions and comments about how social TV is changing the television news and entertainment game, using hashtag #TVNEWSERSHOW. We will include some of them as part of the discussion. And if you’re in the NYC area next Tuesday, tickets are still available for the show. Register here.
