Hordes of people watch “The Bachelor” every week. Last night was the always-hyped Fantasy Suite episode, in which the bachelor hosts a few top picks overnight on a Disney owned network. This season, it’s all the more interesting because not only are they in Bali, to sort of emphasize the primal nature of it all, but one girl admits to being a virgin in the Fantasy Suite, and he doesn’t kick her off. Drama ensues. No one talks about sex on “The Bachelor,” and yet the show is trembling with it. It’s like the network version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
The good news is that the audience, or some of it anyway, is in on the game. And they have some good ideas for ABC spinoffs. We aren’t far from a 40+ version, you can be sure:
Dear ABC: you know how in #TheBachelor post credit scene you had Chris playing & talking to monkeys? That should be its own show. -Mike

I would have live tweeted the Bachelor but ABC actually gave me a live feed of Chris and Becca’s fantasy suite and I’m too scarred to tweet.

Companion series to #TheBachelor: the psychological exit interviews of rejected contestants. You’re welcome, ABC.

ABC should spin off this episode into a Saturday morning kids show…The Fantasy Suite Life of Chris & Becca. #TheBachelor

@theyearofelan Just curious, do you think ABC would ever do a spin-off of “The Bachelor/ette for people over 40? I think it would be fab! 🙂
