YA Voters of the World, Unite!

By Jason Boog

obamapresidentofawesome.gifEarlier this week, GalleyCat broke the news that Jack London will not be voting for Sarah Palin. Today, we answered another burning literary and political question: Who will the YA community vote for?

On Monday morning, YA for Obama will open its virtual doors. The social networking site will unite readers, writers, and supporters of young adult books in a single site. Users can build customized pages, chat with fellow Obama-supporters, and upload content–just like that action hero poster.

Created by author Maureen Johnson, the site includes endorsements from over 50 YA authors, including Judy Blume, Meg Cabot, and Melissa Walker. With friends like that, Obama could secure a whole generation of future voters.
