To celebrate the trusty handbook, “How to Survive a Robot Uprising,” Tor.com has sponsored a contest, asking readers to “imagine that they are in the midst of a vast robot uprising and persuade our robot overlords why you should be allowed to live”–competing for robot-themed goodies.
Readers can create their pleas for robot mercy in three formats: poetry, visual art, and video. The three winners will take a copy of a futuristic by Daniel H. Wilson and a t-shirt from My Robot Overlords. The contest opens today, and closes at 12 p.m. ET on August 12, 2009.
