Last week, immediately after the election of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States, we reported on the impending publication of Yes We Can, a collection of Scout Tufankjian‘s photographs from every step of Obama’s campaign. Since then, we’ve heard that Blurb.com, which provides services for creators to design and produce their own print-on-demand books, as well as an online marketplace in which to sell them, is offering two new election-themed books of photography.

Washington-based political photographer Lauren Victoria Burke‘s Birth of a Statesman has 240 pages’ worth of pictures she took of Obama while he was in the U.S. Senate and during his presidential bid, while Michael Cirelli‘s The Road to the White House Runs Through New Hampshire is a more modest photographic essay, with 51 pictures showcasing the efforts of several political candidates to win votes in the state’s early (and influential) primary.
