The Tumblr-to-book deal trend continues apace. Today What I Wore blogger Jessica Schroeder sealed a deal with Random House imprint Ballantine Trade Paperbacks for a new book.
Entitled Recipe for Style: A Cookbook For Your Closet, the book will be an “illustrated , practical, guide to building a wardrobe, season-by-season and day-by-day.” Deborah Schneider at The Gelfman Schneider Literary Agency negotiated the deal, and Jill Schwartzman at Ballantine Trade Paperbacks bought the book.
Here’s more about Schroeder (pictured), from her Tumblr site: “I love colored tights, movies from the 50s and 60s and vintage inspired clothes. I take pictures of myself (almost) every day. I started What I Wore in 2008 after a year of snapping photos with a timer and a tripod. Now my outfits are shot by my talented husband-to-be, Adam.”
