Turning Japanese (Thomas Dunne) is the story of a half Japanese character named, Lisa who is a manga artist that moves to Tokyo in hopes to follow her dreams.
Think of this book as The Devils Wears Prada meets Lost in Translation. Lisa has to deal with a demanding boss, a conniving manga author, and risks her entire life (including her own wedding) to go for her dreams.
The author, Cathy Yardley has written over eight romances and this is her first book in this genre. Here’s to wishing her the best with it. She’s got talent.
