Tiger Woods Boosts Sales for Physics Book

14629664.JPGYesterday Tiger Woods admitted to unnamed “transgressions,” but stressed that he had no interest in sharing his story. We wondered if golfer’s car crash and allegations of infidelity would produce a book deal.

Oddly enough, the first book to profit from the event was “Get a Grip on Physics,” a handy guide to physics. Here’s more from the Wall Street Journal: “The book, a layman’s guide to physics by British science writer John Gribbin, appeared in a photo of Woods’ crashed SUV, laying on the vehicle’s floor. Since yesterday, the book’s Amazon sales rank has jumped from 396,224 to 2,268–a fortuitous turn for the author.”

Published by Barnes & Noble, a few used copies are still available. Alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel canceled her afternoon press conference, so it appears that the only clues to the golfer’s life reside inside this suddenly popular physics textbook.
