The Sunday Times Short Story Award Seeks Submissions

The Sunday Times has opened the submissions for the 2017 EFG Short Story Award.

The award has the largest prize for any short story contest in the world, carrying a £30,000 purse (approximately $39,400). The award is open to any novelist or short story writer that has been published in the UK or Ireland. The submission must not exceed 6,000 words. Here is more from the prize’s website:

Stories need to have been either previously unpublished or only published after 31 December 2015. Five authors shortlisted for the award will each receive £1,000. The prize is administered by the Society of Authors.

Submissions will be accepted until September 29 at 6pm (GMT).
