The ‘Love is Love’ Project Featured on Kickstarter

By Maryann Yin

Photographers Mitch Kitter and Shalem Mathew hope to raise $25,000 on Kickstarter. They hope to use the funds to create an art photo book for the “Love is Love” project.

In 2014, they hope to go on two trips across 20+ states. During these trips, they plan to photograph LGBT couples that will be featured in the book. We’ve embedded a video about the project above. Here’s more from the Kickstarter page:

“In the summer of 2012 we started the Love is Love project. During the first stage of the project we photographed 28 Vibrant LGBT families from all over Alaska…During our gallery opening on October 5th 2012, over 760 Alaskan’s came to show their support for the project, and the beautiful couples.”
