Summer Cats: Rosie’s Second Chance

Rosie’s owner wanted to give her to a new home because he was ‘going out of town on an extended trip’ and he couldn’t care for her as he had since finding her under a porch when she was a few weeks old. He offered to pay for her remaining dental work, and Biggs says she “fell in love with her and adopted her on the spot.”

“Two months later, we received an envelope in the mail, from the Marin County jail,” Biggs adds, which clarified the nature of that “extended trip.” (Still, “he seemed like a nice guy and we corresponded for awhile.”) Today, she concludes, “Rosie is a happy cat and the kids in her neighborhood love to see her when they walk by.”
