Strand Book Store to Push Front List Sales With New Book Club

By Dianna Dilworth

strandStrand Book Store is gearing up to launch a Signed First Editions Club, a subscription service that will help the store expand its front list inventory.

“Strand has long been known as a destination for used and discounted books,” stated Carson Moss, the store’s frontlist book buyer. “In recent years, we’ve experienced strong growth in frontlist sales and we’re confident that our first editions club will provide our customers with books of merit that will add lasting value to their personal libraries.”

The service, which rolls out in October, offers customers to opportunity to receive signed new releases of first editions. The books will be distributed every four to six weeks. There will be three different categories available for readers to subscribe to: Adult First Editions (fiction or non-fiction), Young Adult First Editions (fiction), and Art/Photography First Editions. Each subscription will carry its own cost.

The program launches with the Adult subscription with Colm Tòibìn’s novel Nora Webster.
