Sourcebooks Launches the ‘Put Me in a Story’ App

Sourcebooks has launched a new app called “Put Me in the Story,” an app that allows readers to insert their child’s name into the book. The user can also insert the child’s name and photo on the dedication page.

We’ve embedded a video about the app above–what do you think? The New York Times reports that the app is available as a free download and includes one eBook. At the moment, buyers can purchase two other eBooks (priced at $4.99 each) to go with this app.

Publisher Dominque Raccah had this statement: “We started with two very distinct challenges: How do we create a more meaningful bedtime reading experience for parents and their children? And, as a publisher, how do we build a digital future for children’s book authors and illustrators?” (via Publishers Weekly)
