Lionsgate has unleashed the final trailer for the forthcoming Allegiant film adaptation. This dystopian story originates from the first half of Veronica Roth’s young adult novel.
Here’s more from Empire Magazine: “As you may know by now if you’ve been following the books or movies, Tris (Shailene Woodley), Four (Theo James) and their ragtag group of friends, enemies and undecideds are headed for pastures – well, cities – new. They’ve discovered, thanks to Tris’ ability to unlock a message, that their shattered, dystopian Chicago is not the final refuge for the human race, but was used as an experiment to develop divergents such as our heroine. As for what she can do to save the wider world is a mystery, but she’ll learn more from the mysterious Bureau of Genetic Welfare, which includes new franchise face Jeff Daniels as David.”
The video embedded above offers glimpses of lead stars Shailene Woodley as Tris and Theo James as Four. Indiewire reports that this movie, the last one in the series to be directed by filmmaker Robert Schwentke, will hit theaters on Mar. 18.
