Screenwriting for Novelists: Booked

Tonight Peter Hedges and Jonathan Tropper will be at will speak at 92YTribeca, discussing “the process of adapting their books to film.”

Political consultant Joel Fox is promoting his debut thriller, Lincoln’s Hand. He will be at the Mystery Book Store (Los Angeles, CA) on Saturday, August 7th at 2pm.

The Fantastic Fiction series will feature four people at its upcoming event including Ellen Datlow, Matthew Kressel, Laura Anne Gilman, and Mary Robinette Kowal at KGB Bar (New York, NY) on Wednesday, August 18th at 7pm.

Steve Brezenoff will be reading from his book, The Absolute Value of -1 at Magers & Quinn Booksellers (Minneapolis, MN) on Thursday, September 23rd at 7:30pm.

The literary salon, Why There are Words, is holding its next event at a gallery, Studio 333 (Sausalito, CA) on Thursday, August 12th starting at 7pm. The theme of this meeting is “weather” and the authors who will be reading include Josie Brown, Rosaleen Bertolino, Townsend Walker, Margaret Kaufman, Jeff Gillenkirk, and Matty Byloos.
